38 classic funky tracks from the bayou state. (exception of gil scott-heron’s “angola, louisiana”, which needs no explanation)
after losing his house in katrina, and being a fugee for 3 months, QM returned to NOLA and began gigging 6-10 times a week…..quickie mart was a major driving force that helped restore the new orleans music scene after hurricane katrina

What can I say about this mix, track after track is a hit, and I’m only three quarters through it! One of the best funk/soul mixes I’ve ever listened to.

KILLLLLEEEERRRRRRRRR!!!!!
Quickie Mart is the bomb. This mix is fantastic - a must for all your funk/soul loving friends, even if they don’t dig the “dj thing”.
and if they do dig the “dj thing”, the Gypsyphonic Disco and Brain Salad mixes are also excellent. and NC17 ;)

Loving this mix!! Gone and downloaded most of the tracks, and bought THREE New Orleans funk CDs. Hook, line and sinker!!!!
