fro disia june dance jazz mix by dj Gee.Dee.W

hi everyone. this month once again the fro-disia mix has been put together by dj Gee.Dee.W. he has put aside big percussion drums and hit the tunes crates and what a nice selection of classy jazz he has dug out from his collection.

something old and something new. jazz is ageless.

the highlight for me is the early 70’s penny goodwin excellent classic soul/jazz track “too soon you’re old” not heard that for ages.

add to that vocal tracks by carmen mccrea, carmen lundy, nils krough (love that one) and a track from the new the jazzinvaders album. funky stuff by way of herbie hancock, willi langer, incognito’s jazzy grooves and you have a quality mix when added to some of todays nu jazz with a heavy lean to soul/jazz.
